Kangana Ranaut's  Jayalalithaa biopic ‘Thalaivi’ is one of the most awaited films of the actress and it looks like fans will have to wait more to get a glimpse of their favourite actress on screen. According to reports the makers of the film are facing huge monetary losses due to the ongong coronavirus pademic. The makers had constructed Parliament House set at the Hyderabad studio for 45-day shoot. However, the team didn’t shoot for a single day and the maintenance cost and studio rent of the sets is costing the producers a loss of about 5 crore.

Now the the makers have no other option but wait till the lockdown is lifted so that the pending outdoor shooting can be completed. The other issue is the impending rains which can lead to more expenses. They also have a set in Chennai, which is reportedly unused due to the lockdown.Directed by AL Vijay, ‘Thalaivi’ will simultaneously release in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi.The film was earlier expected to hit the silver screens on June 30, 2020.
