Labour Ministry retweets photo-shopped pic of Deepika smoking, amid drug scandal
On the wake of the drug scandal looks like Deepika Padukone has come under the scrutiny of many government based agencies. A while ago, Ministry of Labour's official Twitter account re-tweeted a photo-shopped picture of the Happy New Year actress. Although the tweet was deleted, several users shared screenshots of the same on the micro-blogging site and condemned the ministry. A user wrote, "The reason why government has no data. Because ministries are busy being online trolls."The picture soon went viral and the actress was subjected to much trolling.

For the unversed, Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), probing the alleged Bollywood-drug nexus, might summon actor Deepika Padukone if needed. NCB sources said some WhatsApp conversations purportedly discussing drugs are on the radar of the agency. Some of these chats were purportedly between Deepika’s manager Karishma Prakash and one “D”, they said. The official said the NCB might also summon actors Rakul Preet Singh and Sara Ali Khan, and designer Simone Khambatta this week. During the NCB’s investigation into the drugs angle in actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case, a wider drugs nexus in Bollywood surfaced. Sushant’s talent manager Jaya Saha was questioned by the NCB on Monday. The NCB has so far arrested more than 12 people, including Sushant’s girlfriend and actor Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik Chakraborty, in connection with the probe into the drugs angle in the case of the actor’s death.

This is so insane. This is vile. Just shocking. I don’t think I’ve seen a worse government/country/people than this. I am genuinely worried about DP. https://t.co/I1KwlkSLSr
