Malaika Arora took to her Instagram handle and shared a note praying the Lord to put a shield around her loved ones and to protect the world from the ongoing pandemic. The picture that she shared reads, “Dear Lord, Waking up today is such a wonderful blessing from You. Please put a shield around my loved ones today. Heal our family, our community, our country and the whole world from this pandemic. Wrap us with Your love and protection. Amen.” Commenting on the post, Malaika’s dear friend Farah Khan Kunder wrote, “Thanks Kameeniiii,” followed by a heart emoticon.

The actress who is a COVID survivor herself, recently, reacted to a picture of a crowd gathered at the famous Kumbh Mela this year. Sharing a picture of Kumbh through an Instagram story, the actress described it as "shocking". In the photo, a large number of people are seen gathered on a narrow road for the festivities. Captioning the picture, Malaika wrote, "It's a pandemic!" But it is shocking. "Malaika is not the only celebrity to have condemned such a large gathering at Kumbh amidst coronavirus spread. "Why would God save us.. ??? if we are just not interested in saving ourselves and our families.. Please Please #StayHomeStaySafe," tweeted Shaan.
