Manoj Bajpayee reveals he almost committed suicide after getting rejected
Manoj Bajpayee is one of Bollywood's most iconic stars and his character Bhiku Mahatre is considered one of the greatest roles in Hindi cinema. In a recent interview, the actor shared that he almost killed himself during his struggling days. The Kaun actor said, he decided to be an actor at the age of 9 but he couldn't afford it and hence continued his studies. He then shifted to Delhi for higher studies at the university and also started doing theatres simultaneously. Soon after that, he applied to the National School of Drama, however, got rejected thrice.
Bajpayee stated that he was close to committing suicide, his friends would sleep next to him and not leave him alone. His friends supported him till he was accepted. Manoj also talked about how after moving to Mumbai, during an audition, an AD tore his photos and lost three projects in a day. The 'Sonchiriya' actor said that he didn't fit in 'ideal-hero' face and hence, they thought he would never make it to big screens. On the work front, the actor was last seen in Abhishek Chaubey's 'Sonchiriya' starring Sushant Singh Rajput. The film was released in March last year.
