Priyadarshan's Hungama which released inn 2003 is one of the most loved films by both audience and critics alike. The movie over the years has attained cult status amongst fans  and in a major development the director of the film has announced the sequel of the film. Yes, you heard it right, after a long hiatus ace director will be donning the director's hat once again after his last film Rangrezz starring Jackky Bhagnani bombed at the box-office in 2003.

Unlike Hungama, Hungama 2 will star Jaaved Jaaferi's son Meezan in the lead role. Earlier this year he made his debut with Sanjay Leela Bhansali produced Malaal. As per Bollywood Hungama, Priyadarshan confirmed the news by saying that Javed Jaffrey’s son Meezan is a terrific boy on-screen whether its in term of acting, dance or fighting. There is nothing that he cannot do.In a earlier interview to PTI the superstar director confirmed that Aftab Shivdasani, Paresh Rawal, and Rajpal Yadav will be returning for the sequel. Also Hungama 2 won't be a direct sequel to Hungama but will carry the same vibe and madness.
