Veteran actor Mukesh Khanna is alive and doing well as the Shaktimaan actor himself quashed all rumours of his death in a detailed post on social media. The Mahabharat actor captioned the video, “With your blessings, I am completely healthy and safe. I don’t have Covid-19 and I was not admitted to any hospital. I don’t know who created this rumour and I don’t know what is the intention of those who spread such rumours. They tamper with people’s emotions with such false news.” “What should be the treatment for such mentally unstable people? Who will punish their misdeeds? Enough is enough. Now it is too much. There should be a stop on such fake news,” Mukesh Khanna concluded.

Fans of the Shaktimaan actor flooded the comments section of his post and many of them wished him longevity and good health. "May you live long sir," a fan commented on the video. "Thank god you are alright," another fan commented on the video. Mukesh Khanna rose to fame with the late 1990s show Shaktimaan, in which he played the central role of the superhero Shaktimaan. Shaktimaan was conceptualised by Khanna in 1981 when he was working on a film with Rajshri Productions. He narrated the idea to producer Rajkumar Barjatya, who liked it, and the two adapted it into a film titled Akash. The series ran for 450 episodes from 13 September 1997 to 27 March 2005 on DD National. He also appeared in BR Chopra's mythological drama Mahabharat. He played the role of Bhishma Pitamah in Mahabharat.
