The NCB is required to file a chargesheet in a case within 180 days of the FIR. As per this procedure, April 2 is the deadline for NCB to file a chargesheet in the Mumbai cruise ship drugs bust case involving Aryan Khan. Aryan Khan, along with his friends Arbaaz Merchant and Munmun Dhamecha, were arrested by the NCB following a raid at Mumbai's International Cruise Terminal on October 3 of last year.

The drug enforcement agency had seized 13 grams of cocaine, 5 grams of mephedrone, 21 grams of charas and 22 MDMA/Ecstasy pills during the raid on the Cordelia cruise from Mumbai to Goa. The raid was led by NCB's then zonal director (Mumbai) Sameer Wankhede, who has since returned to the Indian Revenue Services (IRS).A total of 20 individuals were arrested in connection with the case. Out of these, 18 are now out on bail, including Aryan Khan.
