Neetu Kapoor credits Yoga for her successful recovery from COVID-19

The past year and a half has been a tough one for the Kapoor family with , Rishi Kapoor's Ritu Nanda Rajiv and Kapoor's sudden death. Now add to that Ranbir Kapoor's COVID-19 illness it has been a tough going for the Kapoor family. Likewise,  Neetu Kapoor who returned to the acting world  after a long time was also tested positive for COVID 19 along with some other crew members. The shooting got stopped midway and she has to return to Mumbai. However, the actress resumed shooting after 10 days and defeated COVID 19 with ease. 

Now, in her interview with Mid -Day, the veteran actress said, “I did anulom-vilom and kapaal bhaarti at least which helped me a lot. I listen to music on my headphone or talk to someone while walking for 30 minutes. My family was my biggest strength. For immunity, I had lots of healthy drinks like kaadhas, giloy (moonseed leaves) water, chai, amla with beetroot, and ginger juice. When I got infected I had lost the sense of smell for three weeks and as the smell started coming back, I was tested negative.” 

Continuing further she said, “My diet became disciplined during this time. I was having proper food and no cheat diets were included. It was not easy to start again after Rishi passed away. I gathered the courage to work and my children Ranbir Kapoor, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni supported me behind my decision.” The actress also said that when I can fight COVID at the age of 60 then why not others. Earlier Neetu had informed that Ranbir has been quarantining ever since he has tested positive while all of his personal and professional plans have been put on hold till he recovers. She shared, “Thank you for your concern and your good wishes. Ranbir has tested positive for Covid-19. He is on medication and recovering well. He is in self-quarantine at home and following all precautions.” Soon after that, filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali was also tested COVID positive, following Alia Bhatt underwent a test as she has been in touch with the two. However, the actress tested negative but has still isolated herself.
