Never Let Success Go to Your Head, Says Danish Akhtar
ctor Danish Akhtar, who has made a name for himself by playing Hanuman in shows like Siya Ke Ram, Jai Maa Vaishnodevi, Santoshi Maa, Kakbhushundi Ramayan, and Shanidev, believes that destiny is not fixed and can be reshaped through determination, gratitude and faith.
In an interaction, Danish shared his philosophy on life, success and the unpredictable nature of the entertainment industry. “I believe that you write your destiny with hard work,” he said, adding that while some people seem fortunate because of their past deeds, consistent effort and faith in God can transform even the most difficult circumstances.
The actor emphasized that he has never considered himself unsuccessful. “Everyone has desires and ambitions, but I am thankful for what I have. A person who is grateful is successful. A person who is ungrateful is unsuccessful,” he said.
According to him, success is often misunderstood. He dismissed the idea that wealth, fame and power alone define achievement. “Success does not mean you have a lot of money or name. For me, success means being satisfied with whatever I have. If I am content and grateful, I am successful,” he explained.
Reflecting on the highs and lows of the entertainment world, Danish noted that fame is temporary and requires balance. “In this industry, you must be punctual and behave well with everyone. You cannot treat people differently based on their status. Whether it is a spot boy serving tea or a senior actor, everyone deserves respect,” he said.
He warned against arrogance, stating that pride often leads to downfall. “When you go up, do not let your head rise. When you come down, do not be afraid. This is the rule of nature. Success and failure are part of every field,” he added.
He also highlighted the importance of positivity and staying away from negativity. He believes that gratitude has helped him navigate life’s challenges with a smile. “No matter how big the difficulty, you can overcome it. Start being grateful from your heart. When you wake up and thank God for your breath, your life fills with joy,” he said.
For Danish, spirituality plays a central role in personal growth. He believes that being thankful to people who contribute to one’s journey is as important as being thankful to God. “If someone becomes a means in your life, be grateful to that person. Only then will God be pleased,” he said.
Summing up, Danish said that true success lies in happiness, humility and faith. “Even if you live in a hut and have very little, if you are happy and grateful, you are successful,” he concluded.
