The Countess of Wessex, Sophie has said that her mother-in-law Queen Elizabeth is 'doing great' following the passing of her husband of 74 years, Prince Philip.

According to Page Six, Prince Edward and wife Sophie paid a visit to Windsor Castle Saturday to see the Queen. Upon their exit after about an hour, a teary-eyed Sophie told reporters that "the Queen has been amazing," The Sun reports.

Several family members are making their way to Queen Elizabeth after the death of her consort, including Prince Andrew, who was also seen leaving the home Saturday.

On Friday afternoon, Prince Charles was also spotted leaving Windsor Castle after visiting the monarch following his father's death.

Stateside grandson Prince Harry will be making the trek from California to the UK to mourn with family sans wife Meghan Markle, who will be staying home due to her pregnancy under doctor's orders.

"It is with deep sorrow that Her Majesty The Queen has announced the death of her beloved husband, His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh," Buckingham Palace announced on Twitter Friday.

"His Royal Highness passed away peacefully this morning at Windsor Castle."

The Queen was reportedly by his side as he transitioned, reported Page Six.

"There were moments of great lucidity and joyful togetherness, even toward the end," wrote Richard Kay, Editor-at-Large at the Daily Mail and a former top royal correspondent.
