Bollywood actress Rakul Preet Singh has landed in trouble after the former beauty queen was spotted with  a bottle in hand in Mumbai. The video sparked controversy as netizens believed that she was carrying a bottle of alcohol with her. She was seen walking off with a mask on her face. However, it was later understood that she was in a medical shop, buying medicines. Slamming the claims, through a tweet the actress wrote,  “Oh wow! I wasn’t aware that medical stores were selling alcohol”. Amid the nation-wide lockdown due to coronavirus, the government has now relaxed some lockdown guidelines post which the standalone liquor shops have been allowed to re-open.

Rakul who was last seen in De De Pyaar De, has a number of films lined up for release in the coming year. The former beauty pageant finalist has John Abraham starrer Attack and her untitled next with Arjun Kapoor that's already on floors.  Meanwhile, Rakul and her family had recently vowed to provide meals to around 200 families from a slum area near her Gurugram home.
