Randhir Kapoor shifted to ICU for COVID-19 treatment after two doses of vaccine

Veteran actor Randhir Kapoor, who got admitted to Kokilaben hospital in Mumbai after his COVID-19 diagnosis has been shifted to the Intensive Care Unit. The actor, who had earlier said that he had no breathing issues, and therefore will not be needing an ICU bed, had to be shifted to get more coronavirus-related tests done. The Housefull star said that the hospital staff is taking good care of him. "The hospital is taking very good care of me and I thank Tina Ambani. Everything is under control. They are going all out for me. The doctors are around all the time," he said. 

On Thursday, he had said that he tested positive despite getting both doses of the Covid-19 vaccine. “I have no clue how I got Covid. I am surprised. Let me also tell you that my entire staff of five members, too, has tested positive, and I have got them hospitalised with me in the Kokilaben Ambani Hospital," he had said. Randhir added that his wife Babita and their daughters Karisma and Kareena Kapoor have all tested negative for the disease. Randhir Kapoor is the eldest son of legendary actor and filmmaker Raj Kapoor. He lost his younger brothers - Rishi Kapoor (67) and Rajiv Kapoor, 58, within a span of a year. Rishi Kapoor died a year ago on April 30 after a two-year battle with cancer while Rajiv Kapoor died following a heart attack in February this year. The family lost Raj Kapoor in 1988 and his wife Krishna Raj Kapoor in the year 2018. Randhir Kapoor is best-known for his performances in films such as Kal Aaj Aur Kal, Jeet, Jawani Diwani, Lafange, Raampur Ka Lakshman Haath Ki Safai.
