In the latest development in the Sushant Singh Rajput case, Rhea Chakraborty's brother Showik along with the late actor's manager Samuel Miranda and others have been sent to 14-day judicial custody. According to a report in Times Now, after a four-day remand with the NCB, the court today granted 14-day judicial custody to the agency of Showik Chakraborty, Samuel Miranda, Zaid Vilara and Basit Parihar. Their bail hearing will reportedly begin soon.
For the uninformed, they were arrested by Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in connection with a drug case related to actor Sushant Singh Rajput's death. The NCB had launched an investigation after it received official communication from Enforcement Directorate (ED), in which there were various chats related to drug consumption, procurement, usage and transportation in connection with the case. Yesterday, Rhea who was arrested has now been shifted to the Byculla jail in Mumbai from the NCB office after the magistrate court rejected her bail plea on Tuesday. Rhea's legal team has moved to the sessions court for the same and the verdict in the bail plea case is yet to come.
