Shanaya Kapoor Opens Up About Shooting ‘Fame Us’ From Tu Ya Main: “It Was All About Having Fun”
Rising star Shanaya Kapoor switches gears and turns up the heat with her latest appearance in ‘Fame Us’, a gully-rap track by hip-hop collective 7 Bantai’Z, featured in the upcoming film Tu Yaa Main. The song introduces Shanaya in an unapologetically raw, street-forward avatar, firmly rooted in desi rap culture. Visually striking and high on attitude, Shanaya is seen rocking track pants, a tank top, and a cap, embracing a no-frills, lived-in aesthetic that feels refreshingly authentic. The look moves away from conventional glamour, aligning seamlessly with the track’s gritty tone and underground vibe.
Sharing the frame with Adarsh Gourav, the song taps into a street-driven mood that mirrors the intense world of Tu Yaa Main. In one of the standout sequences, both Shanaya and Adarsh are seen dressed in sharp suits, letting loose on gully rap beats — a contrast that adds texture and edge to the visuals. Their chemistry feels instinctive rather than staged, grounding the track in attitude over spectacle.
Speaking about the track, Shanaya shared, “The choreography in ‘Fame Us’ was very freestyle. We were just told to let loose, have fun, and move with the beat instead of following fixed steps. It was really about feeling the music and the vibe, which honestly made it so much fun, and working with 7 Bantai'Z just added to that energy. It made the whole experience feel easy and organic.”
Performed by 7 Bantai’Z, ‘Fame Us’ is a full-blown vibe track — pulsating beats, raw lyricism, and visuals that lean into grit over gloss. Instead of elaborate choreography, the song features minimal, organic dance movements that feel natural to the rhythm. Both Shanaya and Adarsh keep their performances restrained, allowing mood, music, and presence to take centre stage — a choice that aligns closely with director Bijoy Nambiar’s signature style.
With Tu Ya Main, Shanaya Kapoor taps into a more raw, performance-led space, and ‘Fame Us’ captures that energy with attitude and ease. Tu Yaa Main is set to release on 13th February 2026.
