On April 17, Sonu Sood tested positive for the novel coronavirus. The actor took to social media to share his health update with his fans and followers. He assured everyone that there is nothing to worry about. Today the Simmba star revealed that he has fully recovered from the virus within 6 days. He shared a photo of himself posing for a picture in a blue tee and a white mask. The star captioned the post as, ''Tested: COVID-19 Negative.'' The actor tested positive after he received his first dose of vaccine. The actor, while recovering from COVID-19, urged his fans to help as many COVID-19 patients as possible. 

Sonu Sood was named the brand ambassador for Punjab's COVID vaccination programme by Chief Minister Amarinder Singh earlier this month. A few days, ago Sonu, stressed on providing free vaccinations to those who are needy. The actor tweeted "Every needy should get vaccine for free. Very important to put a cap on the pricing. Corporates and individuals who can afford should come forward to help everyone get vaccinated. Dhandha phir kabhi aur kar lenge. (Do business some other time)," Sood wrote. The tweet from the Happy New Year actor came  hours after the SII announced the rate cards for Covishield vaccines for states and centre ahead of May 1 COVID-19 vaccination drive
