The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Monday sealed 'Prithvi Apartments' located at Mumbai’s Altamount Road after a few residents of the building tested positive for Covid-19. Actor Suniel Shetty also resides in the same apartment along with his family. BMC assistant commissioner Prashant Gaikwad told news agency ANI " Shetty's entire family is safe". The civic body seals any building which reports more than five coronavirus cases as a preventive measure. As of July 11, 68 buildings and five chawls and slums have been sealed by the BMC. An official spokesperson of the Bollywood actor also confirmed the news, as reported by ETimes. Suniel's society has been put under the "micro-containment zone" for having more than five active COVID-19 cases.

On the film front, Suniel was last seen in Sanjay Gupta's Mumbai Saga. It featured an ensemble cast of John Abraham, Emraan Hashmi, Kajal Aggarwal, Mahesh Manjrekar, Rohit Roy, Anjana Sukhani, Prateik Babbar, Samir Soni, Amole Gupte, and Gulshan Grover. The film had a theatrical release and did good business overall. Next up, Suniel has Milan Luthria's Tadap and Telugu-language sports drama Ghani in his kitty. On the personal front, Suniel recently shared a picture of his soon-to-be actor son Ahan Shetty with Indian cricketer KL Rahul. For those living under the rock, Suniel's actress-daughter Athiya Shetty is dating Rahul for a long time now.
