Sushant Singh Rajput's family in their statement to CBI has alleged that their son was murdered. According to a report on Times Now, Sushant's father, KK Singh and sister alleged that the central investigative agency should look into the case with as the case of a murder and not as an abetment to suicide. The family now wants the case be looked into as a murder based on the circumstances and the way in which evidence has been destroyed in the case.

CBI recorded the statement of Singh and his family on Monday at the residence of his son-in-law OP Singh, who is the commissioner of Faridabad. Yesterday, Rhea filed a new plea at Supreme Court, seeking protection from an alleged "unfair media trial" against her in connection with the case related to the death of the actor. The CBI had registered an FIR against Rhea Chakraborty, Indrajit Chakraborty, Sandhya Chakraborty, Showik Chakraborty, Samuel Miranda, Shruti Modi last week. The ED has also registered a case in the matter and has since summoned all the above accused and a few others in relation to the case.
