“That’s Why He’s a Superstar”: Dhurandhar Actress Krystle D’Souza Praises Ranveer Singh’s Heartfelt Gesture During Shararat Song Launch

For Krystle D'Souza, superstardom is not just about fame or success — it is about character, generosity, and the ability to uplift others. Recalling a special moment she shared with Ranveer Singh during the launch of the song Shararat, Krystle explained why she believes he truly deserves the title of superstar. When asked about sharing the stage with Ranveer on the day the song launched in a recent interview, she revealed that the moment was completely unplanned. “There was no plan to go up on stage. Jasmine Sandlas and Madhubanti Bagchi launched the song by singing it on stage. It was just the music launch, but when they started singing, we saw the crowd had started vibing to the song. That was the first time they heard Shararat, but everyone was vibing. That's when Ranveer said, “Krystal, this is your song. We need to go on stage and perform.” I wasn't prepared for it at all because I was wearing a saree, and I was not sure if I'd be able to dance in a saree."

As the singers — Jasmine Sandlas and Madhubanti Bagchi — had already energized the crowd, Ranveer sensed the moment and encouraged Krystle to own the stage. "But that's the energy Ranveer gives out. You feel like matching up to it. He gave Madhubanti and Jasmine the time on stage to sing the song, and then he said let's do it one more time, but with Krystal, because it is her song and she needs to perform it." For Krystle, what stood out was not just the spontaneity, but the thoughtfulness behind it.

"He took me on stage and gave me the centre to perform. As an actor, as a human being and as somebody from this industry, that meant a lot to me. That somebody is giving you the importance in that moment. It’s very rare to find that, that's why he's a superstar, and he is where he is. Ranveer wanted me to have my moment for my song and tried his best to do the steps as well. He told me that he'd copy my steps, and that was so sweet that he was trying to give me that motivation and attention for that moment."  Dhurandhar dominated the box office upon its release, and fans are now eagerly awaiting its sequel, Dhurandhar: The Revenge. Helmed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar follows the story of an Indian spy, played by Ranveer Singh, who infiltrates criminal gangs in Pakistan on a mission to dismantle a terror network targeting India. The film featured Akshaye Khanna as the antagonist, Rehman Dakait.

Apart from them, the film also stars Arjun Rampal, R. Madhavan, and Sanjay Dutt in lead roles, along with Sara Arjun, Rakesh Bedi and Danish Pandor in key parts. Dhurandhar performed exceptionally well at the box office, grossing over ₹1,300 crore worldwide and ₹1,000 crore domestically. It also became the number one film globally upon its OTT release on Netflix.Dhurandhar: The Revenge will delve deeper into the backstory of Ranveer’s character, Hamza, and is expected to feature a major confrontation between Arjun Rampal and Ranveer Singh. The film is slated for release on 19 March, where it will clash with Yash’s Toxic: A Fairytale for the Grown Ups.
