A study has shown that people who have taken the first dose of the Oxford - AstraZeneca's COVID-19 vaccine have less risk of death from the disease.

Data shows one dose of the shot results in 80% less risk of death from the disease. This is the same vaccine that has been widely been ued for vaccination in India. The vaccine is also known as Covishield in India.

According to research by Public Health England, the first dose of the AstraZeneca's COVID-19 vaccine shows one dose of the shot results in 80% less risk of death from the disease. The risk of death after two doses of the Pfizer vaccine is 97 percent lower.

Matt Hancock, Britain's health minister, praised the figures. These figures are clear evidence that the vaccine is very effective in surviving the Corona pandemic.

Public Health England estimates that the number of vaccinations in the country so far has saved 10,000 lives. Britain has a population of 18 million. One in three of these adults has been vaccinated against corona. This has led to a drastic reduction in corona infections, hospitalization of patients and deaths in Britain. As a result, Prime Minister Boris Johnson has hinted that the government is considering relieving citizens of the restrictions imposed by the corona virus.
