At least eight people were killed, including children and parents, after a shooting at a school in the Austrian city of Graz on Tuesday, June 10. The incident took place at a secondary school located at a street called Dreierschuetzengasse. After receiving the information, law enforcement agencies, along with ambulances, reached the spot, and an operation is underway to evacuate the building.

The suspected attacker is believed to have killed himself. It is not clear whether he was among the victims. The law enforcement and rescue team are at the spot after receiving the emergency call at around 10 am on Tuesday (local time).  Police said that a helicopter had been deployed as part of the operation, and the school had been successfully evacuated.

Austria's interior ministry confirmed that several people had been killed at a Graz school. Police told the Associated Press that an operation was underway at the BORG Dreierschützengasse school, a secondary school located in the northwest of the city.
