Berlin [Germany], October 24 : The Baloch National Movement (BNM) organized a series of protests and awareness campaigns in various cities across Germany to shed light on the issue of enforced disappearances in Balochistan.

The events took place in Cologne and Chemnitz and were attended by many BNM members as well as Baloch Republican Party (BRP) members and regional officials, who expressed their solidarity with the cause.

During the campaign, the protestors aimed to raise awareness among the local people about the dire situation in Balochistan and the inhumane treatment of Baloch forcibly disappeared persons at the hands of Pakistani Forces.

BNM Germany General Secretary Jabbar Baloch, Joint Secretary Shar Hasan, Unit Secretary) NRW (Badal Khan, Media Manager of BRP Germany Abdul Jalil, Asif Baloch, Sadiq Baloch, Safia Baloch, Qasim Hussain, and Aftab Baloch addressed the gatherings, calling upon the international community to help bring an end to the violence and oppression in Balochistan.

The speakers at the event highlighted the root cause of the ongoing atrocities in Balochistan, attributing it to Pakistan's occupation of the region. They emphasized the people of Balochistan have faced immense suffering since 1948 when the Pakistan Army forcefully annexed the region into Pakistan.

Since then, the Pakistani state has exerted constant suppression of the Baloch nation, leading to escalating human rights violations. According to Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP), more than 45,000 people have fallen victim to enforced disappearances in Balochistan over the past two decades.

They highlighted the severe situation of atrocities and stated that the recent discovery of over 500 mutilated dead bodies at Nishtar Hospital University in Multan has further deepened the crisis.

It is strongly believed that these bodies belong to Baloch-enforced disappearance persons who were abducted by Pakistani forces at different times. Balochistan has become an information "Black Hole" due to heavy military control, preventing news and information from reaching the media. Foreign journalists and reporters are also denied access to the region.

With a focus on the ongoing struggles in Balochistan, the speakers said The Baloch National Movement (BNM) and the Baloch Republican Party (BRP) are raising their voices against the ongoing human rights violations and enforced disappearances in Balochistan.

They are calling upon the international community, including the European Union, to intervene and be the voice for the voiceless Baloch nation. The organizations urge all civilized nations and individuals to stand against this inhuman violence perpetrated by Pakistani forces.
