Greta Thunberg once again tweeted saying that she 'still stands with farmers' and backs peaceful protests against the farm laws. "I still #StandWithFarmers and support their peaceful protest. No amount of hate, threats or violations of human rights will ever change that," she said in a new tweet. A huge controversy erupted, after, Thunberg, pop star Rihanna and former adult star Mia Khalifa tweeted in support of protesting farmers in India. Interestingly, Thunberg, in a tweet, shared a Google document, which hinted at an alleged international 'conspiracy' against India. The tweet was later deleted. But the BJP slammed the climate change activist saying attacks against India were planned 'globally'.

On Wednesday, she tweeted a document which she later deleted. The document containing detailed plans of garnering international support for the farmers stoked controversy as it implied that her tweet in support of farmers may not be organic, may be part of an engineered protest on social media. Greta tweeted on the ongoing farmers' protest after Americal pop singer Rihanna shared a CNN article on farmers protest and following internet suspension in the Capital region. She too shared the same CNN article. Without naming either Rihanna or Greta, the ministry of external affairs issued a statement condemning such rushed comments, which are neither accurate nor responsible, it said. Delhi Police have filed an FIR against the creators of the toolkit. "Taking cognizance of the toolkit, the police has registered a case for spreading disaffection against the government of India (sedition) and disharmony between groups on religious, social and cultural grounds, and  criminal conspiracy to give shape to this," said Praveer Ranjan, Special Commissioner of Police.
