Libya Helicopter Crash: 5 Killed After Chopper Crashes at Al-Sarra Air Base Near Kufra

Five people on board the helicopter were killed after it crashed at Al-Sarra Air Base near Kufra in south-east Libya. The incident occurred on Monday when a chopper carrying two military personnel and a medical team with two foreign nationals. 

The helicopter had been on a mission to evacuate a soldier injured in a traffic accident in the desert before it crashed at the base.

Local medical and law enforcement sources have confirmed that all those on board the plane died in the crash. The victims identified as Mustafa Majdi Hamid Wahida, a member of the military transport service; Ali Fayez Al-Nazzal, a member of the military transport service; and Faraj Al-Nazzal, a nurse at the Martyr Attia Al-Kasah Hospital, in addition to the pilot and his assistant.
