Saudi Arabia Destroys 21 Drones, 3 Ballistic Missiles in First Week of Middle East War
The Saudi Arabia Defence Ministry spokesman said the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has destroyed 14 drones in the Empty Quarter that were headed toward the Shaybah oilfield in the southeast. Turki al-Malki on Saturday informed that six drones were destroyed, which were fired at the same field, and one that was aimed towards the capital Riyadh, and three ballistic missiles that were launched at the Prince Sultan Air Base in al-Kharj, 80 kms southeast of Riyadh.
Earlier on Friday, al-Malki said the Kingdom destroyed three ballistic missiles that were fired at the base and two Cruise missiles that were fired in eastern al-Kharj. It also destroyed six drones: three in eastern Riyadh, and one each in the northeast of the capital, the Eastern Region and al-Kharj.

Meanwhile, KSA and Pakistan have signalled a strong strategic partnership amid rising tensions in the Middle East. Pakistan Field Marshal Asim Munir held a high-level security meeting with Saudi Defence Minister Khalid bin Salman in Riyadh.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed what Saudi officials described as Iranian attacks and aggressions against the kingdom and explored measures to counter them within the framework of the existing strategic defence agreement between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
