Astrologers say Vasant Panchami will be celebrated on January 23rd and tithi begins at 2:28 AM on January 23rd and ends at 1:46 AM on January 24th, according to Drik Panchang. Therefore, the festival will be observed on Friday, January 23, 2026, based on sunrise time. Drik Panchang indicates the most auspicious time to worship Goddess Saraswati is from 7:13 AM to 12:33 PM, with a secondary auspicious time during the Abhijit Muhurta from 12:12 PM to 12:54 PM.

Vasant Panchami 2026 Puja Method

On Vasant Panchami, worship Goddess Saraswati by placing her picture or idol on a clean, yellow cloth-covered platform in your home. Purify the image with Ganges water, then offer rice grains, yellow flowers, and a flower garland. Light incense sticks and a ghee lamp, and offer besan ladoos, besan barfi, kheer, or malpua as prasad. Conclude with the aarti and your prayers to Goddess Saraswati.
