As the number of corona patients in the state is declining, the Maharashtra government has started the process of lifting the lockdown in the state. The unlock process has been started in 5 -levels in the state. This rule was applicable from tomorrow. The first phase covers 18 districts and will be completely unlocked. As Mumbai is included in the second level, restrictions will be partially relaxed here.

In the second level, the positivity rate should be 5 percent and the oxygen bed occupancy should be between 25 to 40 percent.

Mumbai local train service, the lifeline of the city, will remain shut for now.  Rehabilitation Minister Vijay Wadettiwar has made an important announcement that if the positivity rate remains low till Friday, the resumption of Mumbai Local train service may be considered. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation said it will observe the situation till June 15 before relaxing restrictions. 

Districts under Level 1: Aurangabad, Bhandara, Buldhana, Chandrapur, Dhule, Gadchiroli, Gondia, Jalgaon, Jalna, Latur, Nagpur, Nanded, Nashik, Parbhani, Thane, Wardha, Wasim and Yavatmal.Theatres, malls, private and government offices will be permitted to open in these districts. Weddings, funerals and film shooting will also be allowed in such places, said Maharashtra minister Vijay Wadettiwar.

Districts under Level  2: Ahmednagar, Amravati, Hingoli, Mumbai and Nandurbar.Districts under Level  3:  Palghar, Ratnagiri, Satara, Sindhudurg and Solapur.Districts under Level  4: Pune and Raigad district.
