Amravati Crime: 18-Year-Old Sexually Assaulted, Friend Beaten by Five Men on Bhankheda Road; Accused Arrested
An 18-year-old girl was allegedly sexually assaulted in a forest area on Bhankheda village road in Amravati district of Maharashtra on Saturday, March 28, according to the police reported by the news agency IANS. The victim and her friend were travelling on a two-wheeler when a group of five men stopped them, beat the man and snatched Rs 125, said Amravati DCP Ganesh Shinde.
One of the accused sexually assaulted the girl, Shinde told IANS. The incident occurred in the forest area on the road leading to Bhankheda village under Frezarpura police station between 8:30 and 8:45 PM on Saturday. A case has been registered and all five accused have been taken into custody.

The victim was immediately admitted to the District General Hospital after her condition deteriorated following the assault. Medical officials said she is currently stable. Police launched an investigation soon after receiving information about the incident.
Fraserpura police have registered a case under the BNS sections and arrested all five accused following a search operation. Further investigation is underway.
