Film Art Director Rajesh Maruti Sapte, who was working in Marathi film and television industry, died by suicide at his residence in Pune. He has also made a video of himself stating the reason for ending his life.

In the video, Sapte accused labor union member Rakesh Maurya of mentally harassing him for a long time. Which forced him to take this step. “Labour Union member Rakesh Maurya has been harassing me. Though I have cleared all the dues of the laborers with the help of some laborers he is calling me and harassing me”, Rajesh Sapte said in his video. He demanded justice at the end of his video.

In the video Sapte said,'Hello, I am Rajesh Maruti Sapte. I am an art director. I have not consumed any substance. I am making this decision now after full consideration. Because some things are bothering me a lot. I am in the process of making this video. For the last few days, I am being harassed by Rakesh Maurya of the Labor Union. Although I have cleared all the dues of the laborers, Rakesh Maurya is provoking the workers due to which many of my projects are stuck.

Rakesh Maurya will not let me start my next job. I currently have 5 projects. But, since Rakesh Maurya is inciting the workers against me, I cannot start any work. I had to leave a project for the same reason. "I am committing suicide as a protest against this," Sapte said in the video.

He also demanded justice for himself through the video. Meanwhile, this incident has created a stir in Marathi industry.
