Political movements have once again gained momentum in Maharashtra. Following the recent election of Bhai Jagtap as the President of the Mumbai Congress by the High Command, there are now discussions happening to change the State President of the Maharshtra. Incumbent Congress state president Balasaheb Thorat is in Delhi today and is likely to resign after meeting the party in-charge and the high command.

Congress is pushing ahead with changes in its organizational leadership in the state. Recently, the Congress had made changes in Mumbai Regional Congress Committee. Balasaheb Thorat, who is the Maharashtra Congress president, is also the leader of Maharashtra Congress Legislature Party

Due to which Thorat's Delhi visit hs gained importance. Recently, MLA Bhai Jagtap was elected as the President of Mumbai Congress. The Congress will be contesting the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) Election 2022 alone

Discussions were going on in the party circles that the Congress should get a full-time state president in the state, so Balasaheb Thorat is preparing to resign from the post on his own instead of changing the state president. Currently, Balasaheb Thorat is the Revenue Minister and Congress Legislative Leader.
