Big accident avoided due to railway trackman's presence of mind

Shrigonda: An unknown person had put a Hectometer pole to cause an accident of the Nizamabad Passenger train near Moharwadi between Belwandi and Visapur Station in Shrigonda district. However, the railway trackman noticed this right away and contacted the Belwandi Stationmaster, averting a big tragedy. This happened on Thursday (December 21) evening, around 5:45 PM. 

A complaint has been filed by the trackman at the Belwandi Police Station. On Thursday Railway trackmen Rajendra Prasad Yadav, Rajneesh Kumar, Rajendra Kachru, and Nandu Janardhan were working at the Belwandi station. They received a call from gang foreman Jalindar Bhana. An unknown person has put a hectometer pole on the railway track between Belwandi and Visapur Railway station. The trackmen went to the place. Upon finding the pole on the tracks they informed the Belwandi station master right away. 

The Stationmaster stopped the Nizamabad Passenger at Belwandi. Then, the hectometer pole was removed from the tracks, and railway traffic resumed. Trackman Rajendra Yadav filed the complaint. Belwandi police station's team inspected the scene. Further investigation will take place by Police Naik Javed Shaikh under the guidance of Police Inspector Sanjay Thenge.
