In an tragic accident, Range Rover car caught fire on the Nashik-Mumbai highway at Friday, February 13, 2026 midnight. This car was in convoy of Rajasthan MP Lumbaram G. Chaudhary (Sirohi-Jalore constituency) and this incident took place near Gonde Phata while he was going to Trimbakeshwar for darshan from Washim. The fire completely gutted a car, but fortunately everyone is safe.
As per the information given by the incident officers driver of car, Anil Baban Jadhav (age 40, resident of Shahapur), felt the smell of something burning while passing through the Gonde Phata area at night. Following which driver promptly pull over the car and evacuated all the passengers. Car immediately caught fire and was engulfed in flames.

Ghoti police sub-inspector Panjabrao Salunke reported that highway police and the fire brigade promptly responded to the incident. The fire brigade extinguished the fire, though the car was completely destroyed. MP Lumbaram Chaudhary and all other occupants escaped unharmed. A Vadivere post officer was present, and traffic was diverted smoothly via an alternate route.
