Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar Crime News: Boy Stabbed in Neck Over Money, Three More Robberies Reported
The looting spree in the Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar city persists, with three additional robberies reported in the last 24 hours. In Shivajinagar, an elderly man's gold chain was snatched, while in Indiranagar, a schoolboy was stabbed by four assailants when he refused to pay.
Surekha Deshmukh, a resident of Shivajinagar, visited a shop at 10:30 am on Tuesday. As she walked home, a young man trailed her, pretending to be on a call. Remaining calm, she expected him to pass by. However, upon reaching her gate, he seized her gold chain, which weighed about 6 grams. Despite her efforts to hold on, he managed to escape. The Pundaliknagar police are investigating the incident.
Syed Firdos Syed Razzaq, a Mahavitaran employee from Rojabagh, parked his car near the Municipal Corporation headquarters at 11 pm on February 24. When he returned, he discovered that thieves on a triple seat two-wheeler had stolen his mobile phone from the vehicle.
In a separate incident, Dipesh, son of Archana Diwekar from Indiranagar, was heading to a shop with his friend Sahil Manohar at 9 pm on February 24 when they were confronted by Sumit, Mazhar, and two accomplices who demanded money. When Dipesh refused, one of the assailants stabbed him in the neck, and Sahil was also assaulted. A case has been filed at Jawaharnagar police station.
