Maharashtra recorded 120 Covid-19 fatalities as the state crossed the 90K cases mark, overtaking China, 90 days after the first case was detected here on March 9, officials said here on Tuesday.

Mumbai on Tuesday reported 1,015 new COVID-19 cases and 58 deaths, according to the Municipal Corporation Greater Mumbai. With the new cases, the total number of positive cases in the city reached 50,878.

The increasing number of cases has put its health system under severe strain. In the last few days, videos of patients not getting beds have gone viral on social media. Many people have died due to lack of treatment in Mumbai.

Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) leader Sandeep Deshpande has expressed his displeasure over the poor health system in the city which is not able to provide treatments to COVID-19 patients. The leader while talking to a Marathi news channel got teary eyed when he said that one of his acquaintances had died as he could not get a bed in hospital. The hospital authorities didn't pick the call.

MNS has posted the video on it's official page. In this video, Sandeep Deshpande said that the condition of the patients is in a bad situation. Patients other than Covid-19 do not receive treatment in the hospitals.
