Although the Maharashtra school education department has decided to cancel the 10th standard examination due to the second wave of corona, how will the students be evaluated? Such a question were raised before by the students and parents. Finally, today, the state's school education minister Varsha Gaikwad announced the 10th assessment formula. She also announced that there will be an Alternative Shared Examination (CET) for Class XI admission.

Students will have to take CET for admission in class 11 after the result of the assessment of class 10 students. As various examination boards are considering the internal assessment at school level for this year's Class X results, optional CET examinations will be conducted for Class XI admission with a view to maintaining uniformity and equal opportunity for all students.

The CET exam will be taken on the basis of 10th syllabus only. The examination will be of 100 marks with multiple choice questions and two hours examination will be conducted by OMR method.

Students appearing for the Common Entrance Test (CET) while conducting Class XII Entrance Examination will be given preference in all the junior colleges on the basis of merit in the Common Entrance Test (CET). After the admission of the students who have appeared for the CET, the vacanct seats in the junior colleges will be open to the students who have not appeared for the CET. The students who have not appeared for the CET will be admitted on merit basis.
