Mumbai's Jaslok Hospital on Wednesday issued a statement amid reports of a staff testing positive for coronavirus and five others also being suspected.

“The non-medical staff must have unknowingly come in contact with a patient or the nurse who tested positive,” said an official. This development comes after a patient was brought to Jaslok Hospital for treatment of another ailment and required dialysis.

Earlier in the day, the in-patient section of the hospital has been closed, with only critical patients being allowed and care being given to those already admitted. In the official statement, the hospital said that as a "responsible healthcare institution" it shall continue to attend emergency cases at all times if any.
