Ladki Bahin Yojana February Installment Date: Maharashtra Women Beneficiaries Likely To Receive Rs 1,500 Today

Good news for women beneficiaries of the Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana scheme in Maharashtra: The government is expected to release Rs 1,500 for the 8th installment in February. This follows the release of the 7th installment before January 25, 2025. As a result, the funds are expected to begin disbursing today (February 24, 2025).

How to Check Account Balance

1. You will receive an SMS notification if the payment has been successfully transferred.

2. If you don't receive a message, you can check your balance via online banking or at an ATM.

3. Alternatively, you can check using SMS Banking, if offered by your bank.

Eligibility Criteria for Beneficiaries:

The scheme is open to women residents of Maharashtra aged between 21 and 65 years.

The applicant’s family income must not exceed Rs 2.5 lakh per annum.

No member of the applicant's family should be an income taxpayer.

Following the upcoming budget, the Ladki Bahin Yojana amount could increase from Rs 1,500 to Rs 2,100. The BJP-led Mahayuti government had promised this hike during the 2024 Maharashtra assembly elections, and women's supporters hope the promise is fulfilled. As part of an investigation into possible irregularities, the Maharashtra government has excluded 9 lakh women from the scheme due to ineligibility. In January, 5 lakh women were removed, and 4 lakh more were excluded in February.
