Maharashtra: 30 People Suffer Food Poisoning After Eating Panipuri In Bhandara

At least 30 people in Sukali (De), Tumsar taluka, suffered food poisoning after eating panipuri at a local event On March 9. The incident was discovered on March 10th, and medical assistance was immediately provided. 22 people were treated at the Betala and Devhadi Primary Health Centers, while 8 others received treatment at a private hospital in Andhalgaon. By March 11th, all patients had recovered and been discharged.

Several Sukali residents were affected, including Harshada Nanhe, Tanhu Nanhe, Ashwini Burde, Kavita Dolas, Akshay Dolas, Nihar Bandebuche, Shreyash Thavkar, Riansh Thavkar, Kaushik Jagnade, Divesh Shahare, Bhavesh Raut, Supriya Nerkar, Priyanshi Raut, Kanta Raut, Manisha Raut, Sanket Raut, Rekha Raut, Prajwal Bhure, Yogesh Shahare, Prateek Shahare, Sanjay Shende, Mangesh Shende, Varsha Dolas, Shreya Dolas, and Satish Munde.

Medical teams from the Betala and Devhadi Primary Health Centers quickly responded and treated the affected individuals. Initial investigations indicate that contaminated food and water caused the poisoning.

Naresh Ishwarkar (Zilla Parishad Chairman), Dr. Sheikh (Medical Officer, Devhadi Primary Health Center), and health officials from Rahangdale and Betala visited the victims to evaluate the situation. Authorities are expected to take steps to improve food safety and prevent future incidents.
