Since last few days there were reports of friction in the Maha Vikas Aghadi in Maharashtra. Whatever is being said in the media over Maharashtra political situation, there is no such situation in the state. At this time, we are only working towards fighting COVID-19. We are following all guidelines of the Government of India, Patole  had said.

Now there are reports that Assembly Speaker Nana Patole on Wednesday met Congress leaders. As per sources, in order to better the party structure, Congress is planning to replace the state president.

There are talks that Nana Patole could be made the state president and his post will be filled by Prithviraj Chavan. Also Nana Patole has no interest in the post of Assembly Speaker.

Before joining the Congress from BJP, Nana Patole was promised to be the State President. The party will need a leader like Nana Patole to sustain the Congress in the state in the years to come.
