Maharashtra: Full fee waiver for undergraduate/postgraduate students whose parents died due to COVID-19

Maharashtra minister for higher and technical education, Uday Samant on Tuesday announced at a press conference that entire fee of students who lost their parents due to COVID-19 will be waived till their completion of undergraduate / postgraduate education. 

Samant said gymkhana fees, various merit / activity fees, college magazine fees, computer fees, sports funds, medical aid funds and youth festivals are among the other fees charged for all courses in the aided colleges and universities which is not being used by students due to pandemic will be fully waived

As maintenance of laboratory and library and purchase of e-content in the library, 50 per cent discount will be given in this regard. As the dormitory is not being used by the students and the dormitory will not be used due to covid, the dormitory charges will be completely waived.

No concession will be given in tuition fees and development funds charged by non-grant/ self financed colleges.However, other charges like gymkhana fee, various merit / activity fee, college magazine fee, computer fee, sports fund, medical aid fund and youth festival will be fully waived. Similarly 50% discount will be given in laboratory and library fees,
