Palghar: A 17-year-old youth dies while attempting to film social media content at famous Kalmandavi waterfall in Jawhar. The deceased identified as Nayan Kumar Singh who reportedly traveled to the scenic spot with his friends after being lured by attractive reels and photos.
According to FPJ reports, group arrived at the waterfall on Wednesday afternoon to see the view, but mans leg slipped into the deep reservoir in an attempt to shoot a reel. After the accident, local immediately launch a rescue operation to pull him off the water.
Nayan was recovered and taken to Jawhar Civil Hospital, but doctors pronounced him dead on arrival. His death has deeply saddened the community, as he was his parents' only child. This tragedy underscores the increasing dangers of seeking social media fame. The incident has also exposed the lack of adequate security at Kalamandavi waterfall, a popular tourist destination. Despite heavy visitor traffic, particularly on weekends, there is insufficient police presence.
