The number of COVID-19 cases in Mumbai crossed the 50,000 mark on Monday with the city reporting as many as 50,085 confirmed cases. India's financial capital added 1311 new cases on Monday and 64 fatalities. The total death toll in Mumbai stands at 1702 so far. The number of active patients stood at 26,125. 

Mumbai accounts for 57 percent of Maharashtra's total cases and 54 percent of the state's total COVID-19 deaths.

Maharashtra added 2553 new cases in the last 24 hours with the state tally at 88,528, as per Monday evening update. The death toll in the state stands at 3,169.
