In unexpected turn of events, 6 people got trapped inside a lift for prolonged period in a  Nagpur’s Sitabuldi area at Fortune Mall due to malfunctioning in lift. The victim trapped in the lift were struggling to breathe, they were rescued by breaking glass.

The lack of ventilation and delayed rescue efforts led to feelings of suffocation. Despite repeated calls to mall management, immediate action was not taken. The delayed response, despite multiple attempts to inform authorities, created the panic among the locals.

According to India Today report, with the situation turning critical and anger mounting among people present at the mall, the glass of the lift was eventually broken to rescue those trapped. Victim resorted to extreme measures due to the delay, with one stating they had to break the glass after repeated requests for assistance.

All six people were rescued unharmed, but the incident has renewed concerns about emergency response systems and public safety protocols.
