Nalasopara Accident: Taxi Plunges Into Well; Two Men Rescued With Minor Injuries
Mumbai: In an tragic accident, a taxi carrying two men fell into a dry public well in Nalasopara east. This incident occurred on Monday, April 2o, afternoon, when taxi went out of control and got off road crashing into a well. In this two people got injured and are currently receiving treatment in hospital.
According to TOI, both of them were drunk and reportedly one of them was learning to drive. The driver lost the control over vehicle and he fell into a well. They both were later rescued with the help of ladder to pull them out. Fire brigade officials said the two friends were lucky to have escaped with only minor injuries.
Earlier in Nashik, a car accident in the Dindori taluka claimed the lives of nine members of the Dargode family, including five children. The incident occurred around 10 pm near Shivajinagar when their car plunged into an open well. The family, residents of Indore village, were returning home from a class reunion at a wedding hall when the driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle, causing it to veer off the road.
On receiving information, local administration officials, the Nagar Panchayat fire brigade and police rushed to the spot. Rescue operations were challenging due to darkness and the well being full of water. After sustained efforts using a crane and support from the disaster management team, the vehicle was pulled out and all bodies were recovered.
