Sharad Pawar Reacts to Sunetra Pawar Swearing-In as Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister, Says I Have No Idea About It
NCP leader Sunetra Pawar is reportedly swearing in as the Maharashtra's Deputy CM after her husband Ajit Pawar's death. This has sparked intense discussion in political circles. When asked by reporters about Sunetra Pawar's election as the leader of the NCP legislative party and the subsequent swearing-in ceremony as Deputy Chief Minister, Sharad Pawar said, "I have no information about Sunetra Pawar's swearing-in. It seems their party has taken that decision. This is entirely an internal matter of their party."
"Such discussions don't happen here. The discussion I'm hearing about took place in Mumbai. I read that Sunetra Pawar will be taking the oath. This is an internal decision of their party. It is their right. I don't know if there is a swearing-in ceremony or not. I don't even know who Naresh Arora is. I don't know him. Since someone has passed away, someone else has to step forward, and it seems the party has taken this decision," Sharad Pawar added.
"Those who have left cannot be brought back. In such a situation, if someone is ready to take responsibility, then we can gain confidence. Since someone has left, someone else has to step forward. It seems the party has decided to put forward Sunetra Pawar's name," Sharad Pawar clarified.
Sharad Pawar on NCP faction reunion
"Praful Patel and Tatkare are the party's leaders, and they have the authority. It seems they have decided what to do. I will not comment on this. I was not part of all those discussions about coming together. Ajit Pawar and Jayant Patil were holding meetings for both NCP factions to unite." "Unfortunately, it seems that this will now be interrupted," Sharad Pawar said.
Ajit Pawar's demise
"Ajit was a capable leader who had been working for many years, maintaining close contact with the organization and the common people. His characteristic was to gather in-depth information on people's problems and work in a way that would provide justice to the people. His daily work would begin at six o'clock in the morning. The party, the government, and the people of Baramati gave him unwavering support. This is a tremendous blow, and it affects all of us. We will have to face this situation. We will have to continue his way of working. I am confident that the new generation will face these challenges. We will encourage our new generation and do everything we can to cope with the shock caused by Ajitdada's departure," Sharad Pawar said.
