Shiv Sena MLA Vaibhav Naik has been tested positive for coronavirus the news was confirmed yesterday. Naik is part of the Kudal and Malvan Assembly constituency. According to reports, Naik has travelled to Sindhudurg district in his constituency for various and meetings with several officials. Vaibhav Naik was accompanied by Higher and Technical Education Minister and Sindhudurg District Guardian Minister Uday Samant two-three days ago.
Many people in the district and majority of Shiv Sena office bearers in the district have come in close contact Naik. A number of MLA's from the state have tested positive for COVID-19 in the past few days. Even Maharashtra minister Aslam Shaikh on Monday said he has tested positive for coronavirus and is isolating himself. The state textile minister said he is currently asymptomatic and urged those who came in close contact with him to get themselves tested.
