Supriya Sule Clarifies Divergent Stand by One Person Doesn’t Signify Family Split 

Nationalist Congress Party (SP) leader Supriya Sule asserted that when one member of a large family adopts a different stance, it doesn't necessarily indicate a rift within the family. Without explicitly naming Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, who had separated from her father Sharad Pawar to join the Shiv Sena-BJP government last year, Sule observed that BJP leaders nowadays refrain from discussing the alleged corruption of her party.

Our family has around 120 to 125 members, including small kids, and in such a big family, if one person puts forth a different opinion, it does not signify a split, Sule told reporters in Pune on Wednesday.

Our family is united and it will remain united forever, the Lok Sabha member from Baramati said. Asked about Union minister Amit Shah’s statement that Sharad Pawar wanted to make her chief minister, Sule said she was thankful to Shah for freeing the NCP of corruption.

Supriya Sule remarked that previously, when BJP leaders visited Maharashtra, they often labeled the NCP as the naturally corrupt party. However, she noted a significant shift, as prominent BJP figures no longer discuss allegations of corruption against her party. She expressed gratitude towards the BJP and its leader, Amit Shah, for this change in rhetoric. Furthermore, Sule alleged the presence of dynasty politics within the BJP itself.
