Nagpur Municipal Commissioner Tukaram Mundhe has been transferred once again.

Tukaram Mundhe, IAS (2005) Municipal Commissioner, Nagpur Municipal Corporation, has been posted as Member Secretary, Maharashtra Jeevan Pradhikaran, Mumbai.

A few days ago Mundhe tested covid-19 positive.

As the number of coronavirus cases were increasing in Nagpur, Tukaram Mundhe had imposed strict restrictions in the region the contain the spread. However, as per reports, this led to sharp differences between Mundhe and the mayor and BJP leader Sandeep Joshi.

Mundhe has been transferred 14 times in his 15-year long career.

Mundhe, a dutiful IAS officer, was earlier this year working as the director of the Maharashtra State AIDS Control Society.
