Fresh Death Threat to Ranveer Singh and Rohit Shetty by Gangster Linked to Lawrence Bishnoi Gang; Mumbai Crime Branch Launches Probe
A fresh conspiracy to intimidate the Indian film industry has come to light after Harry Boxer, an alleged associate of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, released a new audio message openly threatening to kill actor Ranveer Singh and filmmaker Rohit Shetty.
The threat has surfaced even as a police complaint had already been filed regarding earlier threatening messages. In the audio clip, Harry Boxer identifies himself as a representative of the Bishnoi gang and is heard directly targeting Ranveer Singh. Referring to an alleged past dispute, he accuses the actor of breaking a promise and, in a threatening tone, claims that the consequences would be remembered by the actor’s “next seven generations.”
Following the emergence of the audio message, the Mumbai Crime Branch has initiated an investigation. A senior officer confirmed that necessary legal action is being taken. “After the audio surfaced, we have started a detailed probe. Voice authentication, call data records and the digital trail are being examined,” the officer said.
According to police sources, the gangster has also threatened to target the actor’s support staff and management team. In the audio, Boxer claims to possess detailed information about the families, office timings and residential addresses of Ranveer Singh’s managers and employees. He allegedly states that they would be harmed first to mount pressure on the actor.
The audio message also carries a warning for Rohit Shetty and the wider film industry. Boxer reportedly says that when the gang attempts to establish contact, the concerned individuals must respond. Taking a jibe at Ranveer Singh seeking police protection, he allegedly remarks that filing a complaint at a police station does not affect the gang’s reach.
Police and intelligence agencies are treating the matter as extremely serious. Security arrangements for actors, filmmakers and their staff are being reviewed. Investigators are also probing whether the threats are merely intended to spread fear or part of a larger criminal conspiracy.
