An eight-foot Indian Rock Python was discovered at a construction site near Bandra-Kurla Complex on Tuesday morning, creating a stir in the busy commercial hub. The reptile was located at an under-construction site close to Jio World Drive, raising concern among nearby workers and residents. As reported by Mid Day, security personnel first noticed the snake and promptly contacted a wildlife rescuer. A member of SARRP India quickly arrived at the scene and carried out a careful rescue. The python was later released safely into its natural habitat without causing harm to anyone.

Visuals shared by SARRP India highlighted a calm and professional rescue operation, where the rescuer handled the snake with precision and caution. Using proper techniques, the reptile was secured and transported without distress. The organisation later shared the incident on social media, emphasising the importance of coexistence between humans and wildlife. In its message, it stated that such rescues underline the responsibility people have towards protecting animals and respecting their natural environments. The smooth handling of the situation reassured onlookers and demonstrated how trained experts can effectively manage wildlife encounters in urban areas.

In a separate incident on March 24, another snake sighting caused alarm among residents at Lodha Park in Worli. The reptile was spotted coiled on the branches of a tree within the residential premises, prompting locals to seek immediate assistance. A trained rescue team, accompanied by wildlife expert Sunil S. Rana, reached the location promptly to handle the situation. Their swift response ensured that the snake was safely removed without posing any danger to residents, once again highlighting the importance of timely intervention by experienced professionals in such cases.

Last month, a tragic incident in Virar West resulted in the death of a man following a reckless interaction with a snake. The 40-year-old individual, reportedly under the influence of alcohol, was seen performing a dangerous stunt by handling and kissing the reptile in the Navapur area. During the act, the snake bit his hand, leading to severe consequences. He was rushed to a hospital in the Kharodi area, where doctors declared him dead before treatment could begin. The incident serves as a stark reminder of the risks involved in provoking or mishandling wild animals.
