Mumbai local train services, also known as Suburban train, will be affected on Sunday, April 26, 2026 due to scheduled maintenance works across multiple railway sections. While there will be no block on the Central Line during the day, major disruptions are expected on the Harbour and Western lines, along with special works on the Central Railway’s Kasara section over the weekend.
Harbour Line
On the Harbour Line, local train services between Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) and Bandra/Chunabhatti on both up and down routes will remain suspended from 11:10 am to 4:40 pm on Sunday.
Down services from CSMT towards Vashi, Belapur and Panvel departing between 11:16 am and 4:47 pm will be cancelled. Similarly, services towards Bandra and Goregaon leaving CSMT between 10:48 am and 4:43 pm will be suspended.
Up services towards CSMT from Panvel, Belapur and Vashi between 9:53 am and 3:20 pm, and from Goregaon and Bandra between 10:45 am and 5:13 pm, will also remain suspended.
Special trains will operate between Panvel and Kurla at a frequency of 20 minutes during the block period. Harbour line passengers will be allowed to travel via the Main Line and Western Railway between 10 am and 6 pm.
Western Line
On the Western Line, a major block will be carried out between Jogeshwari and Ram Mandir railway stations, as well as at Dahisar, on the weekend of April 25 (Saturday) and April 26 (Sunday). The work includes launching steel girders for Metro Line 6 and foot overbridges.
A 10-hour block will be in place on the sixth line between 10:15 pm on April 25 and 8:15 am on April 26. Additionally, a block on all lines will be operated between 1:45 am and 4:45 am on April 26. During this period, sixth line trains will be diverted to the up fast line between Borivali and Andheri.

At Dahisar, separate blocks will be carried out between 2:05 am and 4:05 am on down slow, up slow and down fast lines, and between 2:05 am and 3:05 am on the up fast line.
Some suburban services will be cancelled during the block period. The last train from Churchgate at 1:00 am on April 25 will remain cancelled, with the previous service at 12:50 am being the final train to Virar. On April 26, the first train from Virar will depart at 3:40 am and run up to Goregaon in slow mode.
Central Line
Separately, Central Railway will operate a special block between Umbermali and Atgaon stations for non-interlocking work related to yard remodelling at Khardi and the third line project between Kalyan and Kasara.
The block will be in effect from 12:00 noon on April 25 until 3:00 am on April 26. During this period, suburban services between Asangaon and Kasara will not operate. Several trains will be short-terminated or originate from stations such as Asangaon, Titwala and Vasind. One Kasara–CSMT local scheduled at 2:42 pm on April 25 will remain cancelled.
